Comprehensive Plastic Injection Molding Process for Precision Parts
Plastic injection molding is a sophisticated manufacturing technique where plastic is heated to a molten state and injected into a precision-engineered mold cavity under high pressure. As the material cools within the mold, it solidifies into a specific shape, capturing even the most intricate design features. The key stages of this process include:
Clamping
A clamping unit secures the mold, ensuring precise alignment.
Injection
Molten plastic is injected through a nozzle and sprue, filling the mold cavity completely.
Cooling
The mold cools the injected plastic, allowing it to solidify and take its final form.
Ejection
After cooling, the mold opens, and the formed part is ejected using an automated mechanism.
Post-Processing
